Asthma

Allergic conditions:

·        Asthma

·        Sinusitis, chronic or acute

·        Allergy, seasonal, including hay fever, itchy eyes, itchy noses, itchy throat

·        Allergy, non-seasonal, including cat and dog allergy, mold allergy

·        Chronic cough

Of all the patients we test in office for allergy, about half of them are allergic to dust mite. About one out of every four patients is allergic to pollens, which also has a high percentage of allergies to food. About 8% of the population also has asthma. Steroid nasal spray, anti-histamine, and inhaled steroid help, but only to a certain extend.

We have been able to help these patients with non-pharmacological treatment, including acupuncture, laser, moxabustion, and cupping.

Here are some of their feedbacks:

-I have high blood pressure and allergy in the fall. I found that my blood pressure rose after I used my nasal spray (part of side effects of steroid use). It also caused nasty nose bleed. Claritin caused too much drowsiness. Thanks to Dr. Liu and his laser acupuncture, I do not need to use any medicine this fall because I do not have the usual symptoms. I have been able to achieve all these without needle or pain. I still do not understand how it works but I definitely recommend this for anybody who has pollen allergy.
